Therapies - Neuro-linguistic programming
NLP is the study of how we structure our own unique experience in life and
how we organise this.
Through NLP we aim to change our perceptions of how we react to life events,
the aim is to improve your relationship with yourself, the greater the mental
rapport with yourself the more peace you will feel with yourself.
People who are generally unhappy with themselves having internal conflicts
tend to create external conflict with others; we tend to arrange the world in a
way we understand. NLP aims to give people choice about what they do. It is
often useful to examine the world from a variety of perspectives. The more
flexible you are in examining your situation the more information you will
gather and the more choices you will discover. It is about keeping positive and
about what you want and moving from the, what you don’t want perspective.
NB - a quick note about
resistance to hypnotherapy: sometimes as you get closer to
the originating event you can feel feelings of resistance. This may take the
form of not telling the therapist what is in your mind, or feeling “it’s not
working”. This is quite common although does not happen to everyone, please try
to work through this whoever you choose your therapist to be. Therapy work best
when you fully involve yourself. |
